Native Angeleno

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, attending 36th Street School, Louis Pasteur Jr. High (LACES) and Alexander Hamilton High as a child. I attended California State University, Northridge and graduated with a degree in Business Management. A couple of family relocation’s within the city and living in the Valley while attending Northridge, gave me first hand living experience in several different communities within Los Angeles.

Real Estate Experience

After working as a Computer Systems Analyst for a few years after college, I began working as an appraiser trainee at PCV Murcor in 1986. Work was plentiful and there was a shortage of appraisers. After only six months of experience I was given some of the most challenging residential properties to appraise with the help and guidance of some seasoned and veteran appraisers. I later began to appraise commercial properties and started WalshStreet Appraisals.  A few years later I thought it would be a good complement to my appraisal experience to obtain a real estate sales liscence. My initial sales training was with the Beverly Center Office of Prudential. I later went to Gilleran Griffin  Realtors, in Westwood, Sotheby’s in Brentwood and finally to Spalding & Associates, in Culver City. In 2004 I opened a second appraisal firm in Phoenix Arizona. In 2006 I became certified as a Energy Efficiency Rater and later obtained the “Green Sales Professional” certification from “Build It Green”. I began investing in real estate and have successfully rehabbed several properties in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Scottsdale. Today I concentrate primarily on real estate sales and investing.

As you can see, my experience in real estate is not just in sales ,which puts me above and beyond most of the Realtors out there when it comes to experience and knowledge in real estate. Additionally, I have lived in the Los Angeles environment and experienced what it has to offer. I am familiar with most lender guidelines and regulations which reduces my clients overall risk.
